The Royal Queen?

“Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen”...but how can be be sure who she is? As our study progresses, we find another piece of the puzzle that I believe leads us one step closer to proving that our homeland – the United States of America, or more specifically her foremost and largest city – is Mystery Babylon, as foretold by John the beloved Apostle of Christ.

Daniel's vision in chapter 9 tells us that 'the people of the prince to come' will destroy the holy city and the Temple of God. It is clear that this is the people of Rome during the siege of 70 A.D. and the prince is the Antichrist who will eventually defile the third Temple during the time of testing the Lord will bring upon the inhabitants of the earth known as the seven years tribulation period. That the prince is 'to come' tells us that he is not the prince that rules over the people that bring destruction but that he is related somehow to them. I have laid the groundwork for this in a previous couple of editorial pieces called 'Destruction Delayed: America in Judgment' and 'Antichrist Update 06-04-08.' I hope you will check my work against the Word of God – which is the only source of Truth.

I have also recently finished and article regarding the 'saints of the most high God' being called out of Babylon, entitled 'Mystery Babylon: "Come out of her, My people!"' covering Revelation chapters 17 and 18, in which I explain why I believe that these saints are, in large part, the Jewish population in America (though not excluding them that will come to faith after the rapture) – mainly in and around the city of New York, New York. Again I pray you will not simply take my word for it but test every spirit through the filter of the Holy Spirit and against Scripture. In this latest article I expound on my encounter with evidences that the Lord has thrust onto my lap and into my heart and leads me to the conviction that we are living in the last days and that New York city, U.S.A. is in fact Mystery Babylon.

To summarize, this is because the only city on earth that lives up to the prerequisites established in Revelation regarding Mystery Babylon's massive wealth, being home to the sea of people (of every tribe, tongue and nation), where the kings of the earth sit (UN), who makes the merchants of the world rich by her sensuality and delicacies and who exports her harlotry around the globe (westernization), wherein is the seat of the global economy - the house of Wall (street), one world language (English), one world currency (the dollar), etc. – making her the most suspect in a world of metropolises.

To add to this proof, once again the Lord has given me a word of focus in His Bible that immediately follows last weeks article. In light of the previous piece I re-read with fewer scales on my spiritual eyes the next few verses – explored them in definition and deed and found the next bit of information to very enlightening regarding this following Scripture:

Revelation 18:7-8 “To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says, 'I SIT AS A QUEEN AND I AM NOT A WIDOW, AND WILL NEVER SEE MOURNING.' For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilences and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong.

At first glance, this is very mysterious and extremely difficult to find a foundation on which to build any argument surpassing speculation and supposition. However, based on the proof from the last article (and it's former siblings), this would seem to continue to lend credence to this argument and lays another layer of bricks on the wall that is being erected with more and more accuracy and speed in these, the last days.

During my ongoing investigation, I was lead to ponder the etymology of the name America. I remembered from history that we derived our name from the navigator and merchant, Amerigo Vespucci – who's name is Latin and who was of Italian descent – not ironically, the nation in which the ciy of Rome is found. The most prominent translation of the name 'Amerigo' is 'home ruler' but is also rendered 'land of the prince' in other accounts. Very intriguing to say the least but the fun doesn't stop there.

As aforementioned, this name comes from the Latin variant 'Americus' which is the male form of the name. The feminine version 'America' (as well as the masculine) – from which we derive our moniker – is also translated 'royalty'. Again – very interesting. So far, we have a name that carries with it the sense of a 'home ruler' who is at the same time called 'land of the prince' and whose translation, 'royalty', used in the feminine sense, could be rendered 'Queen'. I am so profoundly astonished by the relevancy of this that it is hard to move forward, yet we shall press on.

In the above Scripture we're told that Mystery Babylon speaks from her experience: 'I sit as a queen and am not a widow and will never see mourning.' Scholars are in agreement that this statement is understood thusly: I am preeminent in prominence, who has never suffered great losses at war – at least the kind that radically change the dominion of leadership (i.e Germany's aggressive armed acquisition of most of western Europe in WWII), and I will never suffer defeat by any conquerer. If one takes a look in history, even a harried glance, it is obvious that the entire world has at one time or another been under one ruler and having been consequently conquered one or more times, changed it's king, name, nationality, language and culture....with one exception, the United States of America.

What horror awaits this city, Mystery Babylon? I see it as fitting that the aforementioned verse tells us she will be destroyed by fire in one day. At no time in history could this have been possible until today, the age of the thermo-nuclear weapon – unless of course it was supernaturally pounded by fire and brimstone, which I will absolutely not rule out, though I find that more often than not, this sort of prophecy is one that is fulfilled through the hardness of heart and the merit of man's maliciousness. It is also a natural progression that this sort of destruction contaminates water sources and crops, leaving disease, famine and drought in it's wake – leading to torment and mourning.

Then the merchants shall stand afar off weeping for her, because they were made rich by her immorality and sensuality and sorceries. What a way to go, but she shall end in just this manner - this Queen of harlotry. So is the mystery revealed? I cannot say. I can only follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit, yet in my heart I fear it is so – and not too far away. Even so, Lord Jesus....Come! Come quickly
